  1. 1 cup tur dal
  2. 3 cup chopped spinach
  3. 1 raw mango
  4. 1 sprig curry leaves
  5. 8 green chillies
  6. 3 dry red chillies
  7. 5 cloves garlic (chopped or minced)
  8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  11. 1/2 tsp udad dal
  12. Pinch asafoetida
  13. 2 tsp oil
  14. 1 tsp ghee

  1. Wash tur dal properly and soak for 20 minutes. Then add chopped raw mango, green chillies, turmeric,water and pressure cook for 3 whistles. Beat the cooked dal add salt and keep aside.

  2. Heat oil, give temper of mustard seeds, cumin seeds, udad dal, dry red chillies, curry leaves,asafoetida and add chopped garlic, saute few minutes and add spinach, cook till spinach cooked.

  3. Then add dal, cook for while, lastly add ghee and turn off heat.
