The ingredients for making Recipes easy to make Broken Wheat Pulav

  1. 1 cup broken wheat (daliya)
  2. 1 cup mix dal (pulses)
  3. 2 cups mix vegetables diced (peas, potatoes, carrots, french beans)
  4. 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander
  5. 1 finely chopped onion
  6. 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  7. 1 tsp finely chopped ginger
  8. 4 green chillies(length wise slited)
  9. 8-10 curry leaves
  10. 4 cloves
  11. 2 small cinnamon sticks
  12. 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  13. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  14. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  15. Pinch asafoetida
  16. 1 tbsp oil
  17. 1 tbsp ghee
  18. to taste Salt

Step-step making Recipes easy to make Broken Wheat Pulav

  1. Wash & soak Dalia & Dals together. Soak it until you cut vegetables.

  2. Now heat oil & ghee together, temper it with mustard seeds, cumin seeds,cloves, cinnamon, asafoetida, curry leaves & green chillies. After few seconds add onions & saute it.

  3. Now add coriander & vegetable mix & saute for 2 minutes.

  4. Now add ginger, garlic& rest of spices. Then add soaked Dalia & Dals & add water. 1:3 ratio of water is enough.

  5. Add salt, mix and bring it to boil. Once it starts boiling, slow down heat and cover it & let it cook on simmer.

  6. As water reduced and our pulav also cooked. Serve hot with curd & papad.
