  1. 1 cup chana dal
  2. 8-10 medium size onion(cut into thin slices)
  3. 1/4 cup oil
  4. 1 tsp ginger garlic paste,
  5. 1 tsp coriander powder
  6. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  7. 1/2 red chilli powder
  8. Salt as per Taste
  9. 1/4 tsp garam masala powder
  10. 2-3 dry whole red chilli
  11. 1/2 tsp cumin seeds
  12. 4-5 black pepper corns
  13. 2 cloves
  14. 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  15. 1 Bay leaf
  16. As needed Water

Step-step making Recipes easy to make Dry chana dal

  1. Take a pressure cooker and put oil and heat it.then add finely cut sliced onion.and saute till it turns light brown now add whole garam masala and saute for a minute then add ginger garlic paste.and saute few minutes.

  2. Now add the chana Dal and all the powder spices.mix well and add 3/4 cup of water and close the lid. cook it on high flame when one whistle come turn the flame medium and cook the Dal for 10-15 minutes.

  3. Open the lid, Check the Dal when it become soft then cook it for few minutes and stir continue.

  4. Ur dry chana Dal is ready.
