  1. 1 big bowl puff rice (murmura) thick variety..250 gm approx
  2. 1/4 cup roasted gram and roasted peanuts coarse grinded
  3. 2 tbsp oil
  4. 1 tsp mustard -cumin seeds
  5. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  6. 1 pinch asafoetida (hing)
  7. as needed Few curry leaves
  8. 1 tsp sugar powder
  9. 1/2 lemon (juice)
  10. to taste Salt
  11. as needed Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped
  12. 1/2 cup pomegranate pearls
  13. To serve :
  14. 2 glasses cool buttermilk spiced with roasted cumin powder

  1. Soak puff rice in enough water for 1 min. Immediately squeeze out water from it.. keep aside. Coarse grind roasted gram and roasted peanuts. Keep all ingredients required ready to prepare puff rice poha.

  2. In kadhai add and heat oil, do tempering of mustard and cummin seeds as they splutter add curry leaves, turmeric powder, asafoetida, coarsely grinded gram and peanuts,mix and saute for few minutes.

  3. Add soaked and squeezed puff rice, sugar powder, salt to taste and lemon juice mix well. Put in 2 serving bowls.
