The ingredients for making Recipes easy to make Mawa candy

  1. 1 ltr cow’s milk
  2. as required Sugar
  3. 3/4 cup heavy cream/ malai of milk (very chilled)
  4. 1/4 cup finely chopped nuts or dryfruit powder
  5. 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  6. 5-7 strings of saffron diluted in milk

  1. Heat milk on a heavy saucepan till reduced and remain 40% approximately. Then add sugar and simmer for more 2 mins. Make sure you add sugar and taste, this will be more sweet because will add cream too.Turn off heat and let it cool down completely. Then freeze for 7-8 hours.

  2. Take a big vessel and add cream, dryfruit powder or chopped nuts, cardamom powder, saffron with milk (in a spoonful of milk) and churn it for a min. Then add freezed sweet milk and churn it for 5-10 mins. Then wait for a min and with a back spoon remove the bubbles.

  3. Now pour into moulds and seal with lid. Put it into freezer and set for more 8-9 hrs.

  4. While serving, hold it for 5-7 sec under running water, then open and add to serving plate, or after opening prick a bamboo stick and remove and serve.

  5. I made mistake while pouring, didn’t removed bubbles and can come out with candy, as you can see in picture so need to remove or mash with spoon.
