  1. 1/2 cup rava /sooji or semolina
  2. 1 onion chopped
  3. 1/2 tsp ginger grated
  4. 1 tbsp chopped carrot
  5. 1 tbsp chopped beans
  6. 1 1/2 tbsp corn
  7. 1 tomato chopped
  8. 1 tbsp lemon juice
  9. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  10. 1 pinch asafoetida
  11. 2 green chillies broken
  12. To taste salt
  13. 1 pinch sugar
  14. 1 tbsp peanuts
  15. 10-12 curry leaves roasted or fried
  16. 1 tsp chopped coriander
  17. 2 tbsp refined oil
  18. 1 cup water approximately

Step-step making Recipes easy to make Rava Upma with corn and vegetables

  1. Dry roast sooji.Chop carrots and beans and lightly steam or boil them.Dry roast sooji.Set aside. Heat oil in a wok.Fry the peanuts and set aside. Sprinkle mustard seeds and hing(asafoetida).When they splutter,add grated ginger and chopped onion.Fry lightly and add tomato and fry.Add the steamed vegetables and sweet corn and toss.

Add roasted rava or sooji,peanuts and fried curry leaves.Add salt and pinch of sugar to taste.Add just enough water just to cover the sooji and vegetables.Toss and bring to boil.Boil for few minutes till sooji,corn and vegetables are mixed properly.Add chopped or broken chillies and sprinkle lemon juice.Grated fresh coconut may be added but optional.Add chopped coriander leaves.Serve hot in breakfast or snack or pack it for kid’s tiffin.
