  1. 2 cups Chana dal soaked in water for at least 4 hrs
  2. 8 Shallots cut into small pieces
  3. 1 inch Ginger piece cut
  4. 1 sprig Curry leaves
  5. pinch Hing
  6. 8 Red chillies thinly sliced
  7. as required Oil as required
  8. as required Salt as required

Step-step making Recipes easy to make Dal vada

  1. Wash and soak the chana Dal for at least 4 hrs

  2. Drain off the water and keep 4 tbsp aside. And rest of the Dal crush in a food processor.Do not make it a smooth paste.

  3. To the crushed Dal add the sliced shallots, salt, chillies, ginger and curry leaves and squeeze them in to the mixture. Add the non crushed dal also to it

  4. Roll them into lemon sized balls and flatten them with hands. And deep fry them in oil.
