  1. 1 cup tuvar daal
  2. 1 cup chana daal
  3. 1 cup methi leaves
  4. 1 tsp mustard seed
  5. 1 tsp cumin seeds
  6. Pinch hing
  7. 2 tsp oil
  8. to taste Salt
  9. 2 tsp dhania jeera powder
  10. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  11. 1 tsp lemon juice
  12. 2 tsp Jaggery

Step-step making Recipes easy to make Methi vali khatti mithi daal

  1. Soak tuvar and chana daal together for at least one hour. Boil it in cooker with required amount of water.

  2. Wash methi leaves in water thoroughly.

  3. Take oil in a pot and add mustard seed and cumin seeds. Add hing, add methi leaves and saute it for few minutes.

  4. Add salt, chilli powder, dhania jeera powder and mix all the masalas. Add boiled daal to it.

  5. Add jaggery and required amount of water to it. Let the daal simmer. At last add lemon juice and mix it well.

  6. Serve it with steamed rice.
